Client Case Study
At the onset of Actinic's packaging brief Magellan were asked to produce a box that had a good quality feel as well as offering the necessary protection for sending to customers through the post. We also factored in a degree of flexibility as the product offering comprised of four separate modules.
Magellan created a top loading "pizza style" box with an internal fitment to hold a CD jewel case allowing the user manuals to be placed on top. Our designers created a generic design for the outer box that would allow the easy application of an identity label specific to each product. This ensured that good economies of scale were obtained in the packaging whilst providing a clear identity to each different product.
The box was produced using "E" flute corrugated and printed in 4 color process with a matt film lamination whilst the identity labels were printed in an additional 4 distinct single pantone colors.
Finally Magellan produced a maltese cross single product outer shipper with sacrificial buffers offering complete protection for the delivery of product via the postal service.
